Capt. James Schneider reports some awesomely good fishing! Fish are now in tight to the beach and they had a 9.3 and 7.11 pounder on Monday’s trip as fishing just seems to get better and better. Tuesday the morning trip had savage fishing and then the afternoons were just as good with the 4:30 p.m. trips just insane action and lots of jumbo size keepers and pool, winners all 6 pounds average. Capt. Joe Schneider ran the boat Tuesday at noon and 4:30 while Capt. Jim was on the 38 foot charter boat James Joseph 3 with Rich Johnson of the Fishing Line filming an awesome TV show on light tackle bucktailing. They had fish on 10 pound test spinning gear to 5-1/2 pounds and had 35 or more fluke in just a few short hours. This show should air on June 19 for Father’s Day weekend. Wednesday & Thursday (6/10) continued to see savage action with the Thursday 7 a.m. trip seeing three legal keeper bass on the light tackle bucktails as sand eels are in here big time. Pool winner fluke continue to be averaging 6 pounds and it is just savage on stop action at times.
The 38 foot charter boat had a bass charter on Wednesday at 4:30 and they had three anglers hammer the bas son chunks in the pouring rain and then troll for cocktail blues. They had limits of bass and threw back a bunch to with the largest about 18 to 20 pounds. They sail for fluke three times daily at 7 am, noon and then 4:30p.m.
